Week 36

advice in category: pregnancy

These are last weeks of pregnancy. For the baby it equals very fast weight gain; during this last period the baby can gain even 0,5 kg a week. You will visit your doctor more frequently: every two weeks. The doctor will check how the cervical os looks (if it’s still closed) and probably will listen to the baby’s heartbeat using a cardiotocograph (CTG).

Your baby in this week:
Your doctor has probably told you to count baby’s moves. It is best to do it at specific time every day. If during an hour you will count about 10 moves, everything is fine. If during twenty-four hours you don’t count 10 moves, go to hospital and tell about your anxiety. A midwife will probably do a CTG to check the foetus’ heart rate.
